Patience… Excitedly waiting to open presents with your grandson on Christmas morning.
Patience… Joyfully sitting through yet another dance rehearsal or sports practice even though there are other things you could be doing.
Patience…Anxiously waiting for your teen to come home after a night out with friends, hoping, and praying that they are OK.
Patience… Fearfully waiting for that phone call from the doctor after a scary medical test.
Patience… Lovingly holding my hand and my heart until I am done crying and hurting.
Patience… Confidently waiting for God’s direction when a major life decision must be made.
Patience… Victoriously trusting and putting faith in God’s plan even when you cannot see it.
Patience…
I waited patiently for the LORD; he inclined to me and heard my cry.
He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog,
And set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.
He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.
Psalm 40:1 – 3
For me in today’s world, there are so many things to be anxious about. So many things to consume us and make us worry or fret. I choose instead, to have faith and trust that God has a plan for my life. I choose to live patiently and overcome doubt by replacing it with patience…and victory.
